Castle of Miravet
The castle of Miravet it’s an impressive fortress surrounded by a defensive wall of 25 meters high that emerges from the rocks of a hill. It dominates the river Ebro and the surrounding landscapes. Today some parts of an Andalusian fortress structure on which was built the Templar Castle can be appreciated. Later, the Castle was reshaped in order to adapt it to the defensive requirements which brought the aspect, the structures and the artillery of a Templar work. In this way it has become one of the best examples of a Catalan military architecture form the XII-XIII centuries that we will discover with these essential tours.

The Castle-Monastery of Escornalbou
The guided tour enables us to discover the ambiance of a stately house form XX century, where the main characters of the renaissance were invited by Mister Toda in order to have meetings. In the different places some collections gathered by Toda in his travels around the world can be seen. In the middle of the peculiar interpretation that Toda gave to the ensemble, the remains of the Monastery of Escornalbou found in the 1153 can be discerned and we will discover it.

Modernist Route of Reus
The city has one of the most important Modernist ensemble of buildings of Europe which we will discover with this Modernist Route. A particular emphasis is given to Lluís Domènech i Montaner’s works (Pere Mata Institute, Navàs, Rull and Gasull houses) thanks to the elegance of his style which influenced in other Modernist buildings that were built later in Reus. Also remarkable are Joan Rubió i Bellver works, who has been apprentice and collaborator of Antonio Gaudí.
Reus, Antoni Gaudi’s city of birth, still preserves some places that were often frequented and related with the life of this genius during sixteen years before he moved to Barcelona. The Modernist Cellar of Vila-rodona
The agricultural cooperative of Vila-rodona brings together various local agricultural cooperatives which take part from Tarragona´s Designation of Origin and forms part of Castell D’Or´s group. The Cooperative is located in the middle of The Cistercian Route and near the Monastery of Santes Creus.It was built in 1919 and the building of the Cellar with a Modernist influence is a fine work of the architect from Valls Cèsar Martinell. With this guided tour you will enjoy of a complete explanation about the history, architecture and you will be able to visit the installations where wine and cava are produced. We will finish with a delicious wine tasting, with the special awarded wines of the agricultural cooperative.
The Columbarium of Vila-rodona
The construction of the Columbarium is related with a funeral rite; the incineration, that was current in the Roman world until the first third of the II century a.C.The Columbarium presents in his lower part the stylobate, made with a stone from the area and decorated with rounded arcading of seven billets which rest on the top of rudimentary columns. This is because of its characteristics that make the Columbarium unique in the whole world.
The Chapel of Montferri
This work was projected by the architect Josep Maria Jujol and made in the image and likeness of the mountains of Montserrat. The structure is built from one hundred and twenty catenary arches and has a shape of ship oriented to Montserrat. The construction started on the top of the hill the Corralet in 1925.The works stopped because of the Civil War and were taken up in 1989.
The Church of Sant Ramon del Pla de Santa Maria
The Church is one of the most interesting Romanesque art example of the country, with its architectural characteristics which situates it between the XII and XIII Centuries. The most remarkable element outside is the delightful Romanesque façade with rounded arches with eight columns at each side that support the archivolt, some of them profusely decorated. We have to remark also the rose window located on the west wall and the gussets adorned with heads and the grotesque elements that cover the frieze and the eaves of the roof.
